Raised in Denver, Colorado, S.T. began her interest and studies in music early on. She began playing piano at age five, and continued studying several instruments while earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Music from the University of Colorado. Although piano was her primary interest, Shelly also developed a deep passion for singing. She always had an interest in jazz, and listening to the great singers and instrumentalists of that genre. Eventually, she moved to the San Francisco Bay Area.

While in San Francisco, S.T. performed solo as well as with her trio in the finest rooms in the city, including the historic St. Francis Hotel in Union Square and the Ritz-Carlton Hotel on Nob Hill. Throughout her years in San Francisco, S.T. performed for many events at the request of Mayor Willie Brown, Napa Valley Wine Events, and at private functions for heads of state and foreign diplomats. During this period she also traveled to Asia performing in Japan at the legendary Compass Rose Room at the top of the Westin Hotel in Tokyo.

Since moving to Las Vegas in 1999, S.T. has appeared at many of the world famous resorts and casinos on the Las Vegas Strip, most notably completing a five year contract at the beautiful Mirage Resort and Casino, from 2000-2005. She then opened The Wynn Resort in 2005, headlining with her trio. Starting in 2006 S.T. has been performing at the elegant Range Steakhouse on the second floor of Harrah's Hotel and Casino, Thursday through Saturday, as well as in the Baccarat Lounge at the Bellagio Resort and Casino on Sunday and Monday. She continues to perform five nights a week between the Range Steakhouse and the Bellagio.
